Junior Infants world book day
Junior infants had a very busy February with Show and Tell. They each brought in an item and described it to the class. They had Valentines art and they made Love Bugs. Juniors continued their fantastic phonics and writing skills. They kept their eyes out for the early signs of Spring. Well done junior infants!’

‘Junior Infants had a busy January. They were learning about the different types of shops and we focused on the clothes shop. They discussed about their own clothes they wear, their school uniform and they designed their own uniforms. They also worked on forces such as push and pull. Well done junior infants!’

“Junior infants have had a very busy month learning all about Christmas and creating a magical wonderland in their classroom! They created a Christmas shop to buy food for dinner. They had Santa’s workshop where they wrote letters and lists to see who was on the naughty and nice lists!! The elves were busy preparing and wrapping all the toys. Well done junior infants. Wishing everyone a happy and safe Christmas break”.
Junior Infants visit the Crib
“Junior infants, senior infants, first and second class were very lucky to join Kathleen and Jonathan from Cavan County Library for a morning of Christmas stories! They really enjoyed this experience”.
Junior infants have had a busy month learning all about people at work. They have had time in the Doctors surgery where they set up a reception area, waiting room and examined many patients. Then it was on to the Hosptial with the help of the ambulance which had a great car park set up. They made an X-ray area to check for any broken bones! Well done junior infants!!”
“Junior infants, senior infants, first and second class got to join Kathleen Brady from Cavan Library for a morning full of story time! They got to meet Pom-Pom who joined them for the stories. They listened to four wonderful stories read by Kathleen- “Three Silly Chicken”, “Wiffy Wilson”, “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” and “The Lamb who came to Dinner”.
Junior infants were busy during science week. They predicted what might happen in the experiment. They predicted an explosion- check out the pictures!! After the experiment they drew about the results”
