Nollaig Shona Duit!
The boys and girls in Junior Infants have been busy preparing for Christmas. They made some yummy reindeer food for Christmas Eve today. They have also created a winter wonderland in the classroom, while others have been busy in Santa's workshop. They have made some beautiful pieces of art for their Christmas trees at home and also enjoyed listening to stories and songs about Christmas. I’m sure Santa will be very impressed with all their hard work this term 🎅🎅
A visit to the crib.
We went on a visit to the crib today. We were very excited and walked nicely. Inside the church we saw Mary and Joseph. We saw the shepherds. There were animals too! Our teacher told us the Christmas story. After our visit we talked about what we saw and coloured our very own crib pictures 🎄😊
Letter Practice
Junior Infants are learning to write! They have been working so hard learning their letter sounds and formation. They have just begun to connect the sounds to make words. Well done boys and girls.
At The Doctors
The boys and girls in Junior Infants have been learning all about a trip to the doctors. During Aistear the children have recreated a trip to the doctors in the role play area. They have treated the patients in our small world and some have created flying machines for the flying doctors with their lego. They have coloured lots of pictures and read lots of lovely stories too!!
Fine Motor Skills
Junior Infants have been working hard in term one practicing their fine Motor Skills. They have been busy with their play doh, doing lots of cutting and gluing. They have been busy making patterns on their peg boards, threading, pinching pom poms and lots more! Well done boys and girls 😃
