4th Class worked really well since Easter and they earned a Smoothie Station as a reward for all this hard work. We first wrote out the procedure for making a smoothie. We then looked at all our ingredients and compared the capacity of different containers. After that, we had the all important taste testing. To conclude, we created bar charts to show the favourite smoothies in the class.
4th class are getting into the spirit of Christmas. We created a nativity scene using chalk pastels. We then wrote the story of the nativity in Irish and discussed the Angel Gabriel in Religion. After all that hard work, we turned our classroom into the Ramor Theatre and watched a production of Charles Dickens- A Christmas Carol. We enjoyed a few marshmallows during the intermission and Table of The Week were a little more comfortable than others. They got to sit on nice cushions and wrap themselves in cosy blankets!
There was a special delivery for Fourth Class today. Today a package of letters and Christmas cards arrived from our penpals in Drogheda. We also have a zoom called arranged with the class before Christmas!
We have expert toy builders in Fourth Class, should Santa's elves need some help for the next few weeks! Our science project was to design and make a soft toy using materials in the classroom.
We had a robin visit our classroom this week. Many children believed it was Santa's Robin coming to check up on us as we did our work. Check out our Christmas Cards that we created using potato printing. We sent them to our Penpals in a school in Drogheda.
